It was a fabulous evening at the opening of The Gallery at The East End on August 25th, 2021. Thanks to everyone for attending and it was wonderful to see familiar faces and meet new art lovers.
The East End is a historic, mixed-use project, and is a 1.4 million-square-foot redevelopment of Goodyear’s former headquarters. The East End is committed to supporting art and culture in Akron and strengthening the community. Today, it offers Akron the newest and best live/work/play experiences.
The gallery is featured in the lobby of 1200 East Market Street and work will be on display through the end of the year. Featured artists are; Dragana Crnjak, Isabel Farnsworth, Michael Gable, Mark Keffer, Christine Mauersberger, Taryn McMahon, and Hui-Chu Ying.
Some of whom were in attendance at the opening to share their inspiration and speak to the crowd. These artists are showing newly-created works and are also featured in the permanent collection at the property (also on display).
Quarterly rotating exhibitions, art tours, artist talks, and other cultural programming will be announced.
